Rio - Uma troca de tiros deixou duas pessoas mortas e um ferido na noite desta segunda-feira, na Ponte Rio-Niterói, e levou pânico a motoristas. De acordo com Polícia Rodoviária Federal, por volta de 21h30, um veículo com três suspeitos furou o bloqueio durante uma operação conjunta da PRF e Polícia Civil, na praça do pedágio, tentando, inclusive, atropelar os agentes. Houve perseguição e um homem não identificado e Suellen Gomes dos Santos, de 20 anos, que estavam no carro, um Peugeot preto 206 com placa de Niterói, acabaram morrendo no local.
Identificado como Marlon Esteves de Oliveira, de 24 anos, foi levado para o Hospital Estadual Azevedo Lima. Conhecido como Giban, ele seria o gerente do tráfico da Favela do Sabão, no Centro de Niterói. Segundo a Polícia Civil, os agentes receberam a informação de que havia um veículo transportando drogas passaria pela Ponte e fizeram o cerco na altura do pedágio. Ao ser identificado, o veículo foi interceptado e houve o confronto.
No carro onde estavam os suspeitos, os agentes apreenderam seis tabletes de cocaína e dois revólveres calibre 38. No momento do tiroteio, todas as cabines de pedágio foram fechadas, mas reabertas pouco depois. A Ecoponte, concessionária que administra a Ponte Rio-Niterói, afirmou que o tráfego na via não chegou a ser prejudicado. A ocorrência foi encaminhada para a 76ªDP (Niterói).
Giban já vinha sendo investigado pela delegacia e tinha mandado de prisão por tráfico. Além disso, ele foi autuado em flagrante por porte de arma e tráfico de drogas.
