1. Blinky
Escrito e dirigido por Ruairi Robinson, “Blinky” conta a história um ajudante robótico que pode fazer praticamente qualquer coisa, exceto fazer os pais de um garoto pequeno pararem de brigar.
“Blinky” é o tipo de filme que joga com os horrores da infância. Com um orçamento de apenas US $ 48.000, Robinson criou um robô animado completamente realista.
2. Thresher
O curta de 7 minutos foi feito por Mike Diva, o homem por trás de vídeos de música e uma série de efeitos especiais de vídeos do YouTube. “Thresher” é considerado uma surpresa.

3. Unwind

4. Abe
Quando um androide começa a questionar o sentido da vida, é hora de começar a correr. “Abe” conta a história do que acontece quando as linhas entre a programação e a humanidade estão irremediavelmente embaraçadas.
Escritor e dirigido por Rob McClellan e baseado em um curta anterior “Love. . . And All That”, que ele fez em 2012 para o Colchester 48 Hour Film Festival, o roteiro foi elogiado.
O curta combina uma animação assustadoramente realista do robô e uma pontuação dramática sutil.
5. Cargo
“Cargo” conta a história de um pai recentemente mordido por um zumbi, que tem que ser criativo para não matar sua filha recém-nascida. Uma criação de Ben Howling e Yolanda Ramke, “Cargo” foi finalista no Australian Tropfest Film Festival.
O curta foi filmado ao longo de um único fim de semana, além disso o filme não tem diálogos.
6. Pennywise
Pennywise é um curta sobre uma criatura de outra dimensão que tomou a forma de um palhaço para encarnar o pior medo do personagem principal.
Ele hiberna por 30 anos e desperta apenas para se alimentar, usando crianças, que são mais fáceis de matar.
7. Perfect Drug
“Perfect Drug” é uma estranha mistura de comédia de humor negro e imagens surreais de um conto sobre um homem que acidentalmente bebe alguma coisa de um frasco brilhante que ele havia roubado de uma farmácia para seu chefe.
O curta foi escrito e dirigido pelo cineasta belga Toon Aerts e produzido por Czar Films. As imagens alucinógenas deixam você em dúvida se tudo está mesmo acontecendo ou se é coisa da cabeça do personagem principal.
8. Connected
Dois homens vagam em um deserto desolado, ligados um ao outro por um tubo de respiração. Sem a mangueira de um, o outro morre e vice-versa. “Connected” foi escrito e dirigido pelos cineastas dinamarqueses Jens Christensen Raunkjær e Jonas Drotner Mouritsen.
As filmagens foram feitas em apenas três dias. O resultado é um ambiente sombrio e pós-apocalíptico.
9. Operator
Usando apenas barro e peças de Lego, “Operador” conta a história de Bob, que precisa lutar pela sua própria vida após ser atacado por parasitas biomecânicos.
Apesar da animação ser clássica, com personagens feitos em massa de modelar, usando a técnica stop-motion Operator é bem intenso e claustrofóbico
10. Paralyzed
Espelhos e sombras, luzes piscando e música country são alguns dos elementos que compõe o horror do curta-metragem. Ele é composto por uma aterrorizante experiencia que muitas pessoas têm na vida real: a paralisia do sono.
“Paralyzed” foi dirigido por Aaron Sims, que fundou a Aaron Sims Company em 2005, e desde então passou a fazer animação.
